Tennis Tidbits July 2014

*John Delafield is the new men's and women's tennis coach at Northwood High School.
 
*Atondra Ellis is the new men's and women's tennis coach at Scotland County High School.
 
*Gary Battle is the new women's tennis coach at Pender County High School.
 
*The 2014 women's tennis season officially begins on Friday, August 1st when teams are allowed to begin practice across the state!
 
*George Corbett is the new women's tennis coach at Cedar Ridge High School.
 
*Tim Smith has resigned as the men's tennis coach at Mooresville High School.
 
*Candice Snyder is the new women's tennis coach at East Duplin High School.
 
*Cynthia Keller will be starting her third season as the women's tennis coach at Wake Forest High School this fall!
 
*Randy Alexander will be starting his 21st season as a high school women's tennis and his 10th season as the head coach at Northwest Guilford High School.  Coach Alexander's career mark is 232-77 entered the 2014 season.
 
*Michael Bowen is entering his fifth season as the women's tennis coach at Wilmington Hoggard High School.  Coach Bowen has compiled a record of 39-20 in his first four years.
 
*Andrew Tuttle will be starting his seventh season as the women's tennis coach at Cardinal Gibbons High School this fall.   His overall record is 133-32 with the Lady Crusaders.
 
*Nathan Brown is beginning his third season as the women's tennis coach at Gates County High School this fall.   Coach Brown''s two-year mark at the school is 14-9.
 
*Keith Murphy is starting his sixth year as the Southwest Guilford High School women's tennis coach this fall.
 
*NCHSTCA treasurer Rom Teague is starting his fourth season as the head women's tennis coach at Hickory High School this fall.   Teague served as an assistant under his father Linney for a year before taking over the program in 2011.
