Lady Crusaders Return Three Starters

Cardinal Gibbons High School, coached by Andrew Tuttle, returns three starters from in 2017 after losing seven seniors, including number one Lizzy Galush from last year's squad.

The Lady Crusaders return starters Jenna Knors, Karen Galush, and Karly Fitzgerald and also welcome two tournament-experienced freshmen in Callah Preti and Piper Knorr.

Coach Tuttle has 34 players trying out for the varsity and junior varsity squads this fall.   "We are switching conferences this year into the highly competitive CAP-7 Conference with Raleigh Sanderson and Leesvill Road, who both return strong teams who made the state playoffs last year," said Tuttle.

"Our team is focusing on singles matches during tryouts to sort out the lineup and also working on drills to improve our conditioning and footwork," he commented.

Coach Tuttle is beginning his tenth season at Cardinal Gibbons and his fifteen season in high school women's tennis.  His overall record for 14 seasons is 270-75.
