September 2010 Tennis Tidbits

*Amanda Collins is the new women's tennis coach at Smoky Mountain High School.

*Winston-Salem R.J. Reynolds will be hosting the Twin Cities Invitational High School Tournament August 27-28 at the Joe White Tennis Center at Hanes Park.   The other teams entered include Raleigh Broughton, Mt. Airy, Cardinal Gibbons, Watauga, Greene Central, Wilmington New Hanover, and Salisbury.

*The Lake Norman Lady Wildcats honored captains Morgan Vlaich and Regan Patterson at their annual Senior Night on Tuesday, September 28th!   Lake Norman topped Charlotte Vance 7-2 in the match.

*Clayton, coached by Ken Stivason, has a two-match lead over Garner and Smithfield-Selma in the Greater Neuse River Conference headed into the final three weeks of the regular season.    The Lady Comets are 9-0 in league play and 10-2 overall.
