*Rocky Mount High School's Barry Nethercutt has been named the Big East Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
*Wilmington will be hosting the annual Port City Invitational Men's Tennis Tournament February 27-28.
*Greenville J.H. Rose freshman Frances Reed has been named the 2014 Eastern Carolina Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year.
*Wilson Hunt sophomore Taylor Love has been named the 2014 Big East Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year.
*Former Greene Central star Summer Chase Pennington, the current coach at Charles B. Aycock High School, has been named the 2014 Eastern Carolina Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
*James Starnes coached the Charlotte Independence High School women's tennis team for the first time this fall.
*The North Carolina High School Tennis Coaches Association Board of Directors will meet on Saturday, January 24th at 7:45 a.m. at the Carolina Hotel in Pinehurst.
*Caroline Cowan of First Flight High School has been named the 2014 Northeastern Coastal Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year.
*Devin Knors of Cardinal Gibbons High School has been named the 2014 Big Eight Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year.
*John Fisher has resigned as the men's and women's tennis coach at Raleigh Heritage High School.
