*Senior Ben Wayand of Green Hope High School has been named the 2016-2017 Raleigh News and Observer Boys' Tennis Player of the Year.
*Jason Bullock has resigned as the women's tennis coach at St. Pauls High School.
*The Brevard rules clinic will be held at Brevard Racquet Club (not Brevard High School) on Friday, August 4th at 1:00 p.m.
*Faye Hyman has resigned as the women's tennis coach at Durham Hillside High School.
*Marva Shuler is the new women's tennis coach at Durham Hillside High School.
*Swansboro High School held its first practice of the 2017 women's tennis season on Thursday, August 3rd at 8:00 a.m.
*Sean McGill will be taking over the men's and women's tennis program at Swansboro High School this fall.
*Nicholas Bailey has resigned as the men's and women's tennis coach at Swansboro High School.
*Greene Central High School's annual Women's Tennis Super Scrimmage Extravaganza #3 on Friday, August 11th has been rained out.
*Wayne Holloman is the new men's and women's tennis coach at Rocky Mount Senior High School.
*Pender County High School will not be fielding a women's tennis team this fall.
*John Bullins has announced his full retirement from teaching and has resigned as the women's tennis coach at Davie County High School.
*Liam Baer of Brevard High School was named the 2017 Western North Carolina Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
*Mike Vandegrift of Brevard High School was named the 2017 Western North Carolina Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
*Raleigh Enloe High School coach Steve Spivey will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA women's 4-A poll this fall.
*Cardinal Gibbons High School coach Andrew Tuttle will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA women's 4-A poll this fall.
*Ragsdale High School coach Jeff Steed will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA women's 4-A poll this fall.

*Jenna Thompson, the 2016 4-A state singles champion, is returning for her sophomore season at South Mecklenburg High School.
