*Barry Nethercutt is retiring from the Nash County Schools System after 29 years.   He has resigned as the men's and women's tennis coach at Rocky Mount Senior High School.

*Rebecca Montgomery has resigned as the women's tennis coach at Clinton High School.
 
*Clinton High School men's tennis coach Robert Jones is returning for a second stint as the women's tennis coach at the school.
 
*Barry Nethercutt will be taking over the men's and women's tennis programs at Faith Christian Academy in Rocky Mount this fall.
 
*Randall Porter of Newton-Conover High School has been named the 2017 Southern District Seven Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*John Brann Reid of Newton-Conover High School has been named the 2017 Southern District Seven Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Cythnia Keller has resigned as the men's and women's tennis coach at Wake Forest High School after five seasons at the school.
 
*Hardy Brown of Greensboro Page High School has been named the Metro 4-A Men's Tennis Player of the Year for the third consecutive season.
 
*Brian Lesh is the new men's and women's tennis coach at Wake Forest High School.
 
*Greene Central High School junior Paul Miller will be attending Governor's School East at Meredith College in the Social Sciences this summer.
 
*Wayne Knight has retired as the men's tennis coach at Reidsville High School.

*Steven Fine of Goldsboro High School was named the 2017 Eastern Carolina Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Tim Medlin of Greene Central High School was named the 2016 Eastern Carolina Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Sam DeAraujo of Goldsboro High School was named the 2017 Eastern Carolina Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Zach Theodossiou of Asheville High School has been named the 2017 Asheville Citizen-Times All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Mike Vandegrift of Brevard High School has been named the 2017 Asheville Citizen-Times All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Jim Sheehan of Croatan High School was named the 2017 East Central Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Liam Baer was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Mitchell Wright of Croatan High School was named the 2017 East Central Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.

*Mason Hewett of South Columbus High School was named the 2017 Three Rivers Conference Player of the Year.
 
*Senior Coleman Baker of T.C. Roberson High School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.
 
*Senior Brandon Carswell of Asheville School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Lucien Steyn of First Flight High School was named the 2017 Northeastern Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Sophomore Noah Dohle of T.C. Robertson High School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.
 
*Vic Ramsey of Currituck County High School was named the Northeastern Coastal Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Sophomore Henry Kelso of Asheville High School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Brett Burroughs of South Columbus High School was named the 2017 Three Rivers Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Sophomore Meade Olson of Asheville High School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Zach Pagnani of Washington High School was named the 2017 Eastern Plains Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
*Junior Stephen Saye of Christ School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Michael Price is the new men's tennis coach at Princeton High School.

*Jonathan Gonzalez of North Johnston High School was named the 2017 Eastern Plains Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Freshman Branson Smith of West Henderson High School was named to the Asheville Citizen-Times 2017 All-Western North Carolina Men's Tennis Team.

*Junior Tiffany Pyritz of North Raleigh Christian Academy has been named the 2016-2017 Raleigh News and Observer Girls' Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Matthew Tuck of Forbush High School was named the 2017 Western Piedmont Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Ethan Elliott of West Stokes High School was named the 2017 Western Piedmont Athletic Conference Men's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Wendy Quintana will be the new women's tennis coach at St. Pauls High School this fall.
