*Scott Alston of North Lenoir High School was named the 2018 Kinston Free Press Men's Tennis Area Coach of the Year.
 
*Paul Miller is the Valedictorian for the Greene Central High School Class of 2018.
 
*Raleigh Charter School senior Arya Battula was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2018 NCHSAA 1-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*Carrboro High School School senior Zach Anderson was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2018 NCHSAA 2-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.

*Sophomore Banks Evans of Clayton High School is the 2018 Greater Neuse River Men's Tennis Player of the Year.

*The North Carolina High School Tennis Coaches Association Board of Directors will hold its annual summer meeting on Friday, June 15th at 9:30 a.m. at the North Carolina Tennis Association office in Greensboro.
 

*Taylor Williams is the Salutatorian for the Greene Central High School Class of 2018.
 
*Clayton High School School sophomore Banks Evans was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2018 NCHSAA 3-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*John Wells is the new women's tennis coach at John A. Holmes High School in Edenton.

*Deanna Chesson has resigned as the women's tennis coach at John A. Holmes High School in Edenton.
 
*Raleigh Enloe High School School freshman Rohan Sachdev was named the Most Valuable Player for the 2018 NCHSAA 4-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*Christopher Riley, the number four singles seed on the school's 2018 3-A state championship squad, is the Valedictorian for the Clayton High School Class of 2018.
 
*Jackson Brim was the co-Valedictorian for the 2018 Kannapolis A.L. Brown Class of 2018.
 
*Senior Frances Reed of Greenville J.H. Rose High School was the 2017 Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference Women's Tennis Player of the Year.
 
*Jeremy Williams of New Bern High School was named the 2018 Eastern Carolina 3-A/4-A Conference Men's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Raleigh Charter School School senior captain Joseph Fisher won the Sportmanship Award for the 2018 NCHSAA 1-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.

*Western Alamance coach Rich Dowler has resigned as the 3-A representative on the North Carolina High School Tennis Coaches Association Board of Directors.

*Greensboro Grimsley coach Annette Keip has resigned as the 4-A representative on the North Carolina High School Tennis Coaches Association Board of Directors.
 
*Lincoln Charter School sophomore Alex Orr won the Sportmanship Award for the 2018 NCHSAA 1-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*Jackson Brim of Kannapolis A.L. Brown High School was named to the 2018 South Piedmont All-Conference Men's Tennis Team.
 
*Carrboro High School senior captain Ben Lu won the Sportmanship Award for the 2018 NCHSAA 2-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*Brevard High School senior Liam Baer won the Sportmanship Award for the 2018 NCHSAA 2-A state championship match on Saturday, May 19 at the Piedmont Indoor Tennis Center in Greensboro.
 
*Irma Laney is the new women's tennis coach at Bandys High School.
 
*Cally Hudson has resigned as the women's tennis coach at Knightdale High School.  Hudson, a starter on Greene Central High School's 2007 2-A state championship squad, will be entering the North Carolina State University Principal Leadership Fellows Program.
 
*Lee Matthews has resigned as the men's tennis coach at Wilson Fike High School. Matthews will coach the boys' tennis team at Elm City Middle School next year and will continue coaching the Wilson Fike High School women's tennis team.
 
*Michael Ogundele of Raleigh Enloe High School was named to the 2018 Raleigh News and Observer All-Metro Men's Tennis Team.
 
*David Fleischer of Jacksonville High School was named the 2017 Coastal Conference Women's Tennis Coach of the Year.
 
*Lee Matthews will be starting his 20th year as the women's tennis coach at Wilson Fike High School this fall. Coach Matthews has an overall record of 299-98 at the school.
