Women's Tennis 2010 Regional Pictures

Courtney Bowers of Ashe County High School won the 2010 Mountain Valley Conference Player of the Year award.

Green Hope's Melissa Kandinata (right) won the 2010 Mideastern 4-A regional singles championship on Saturday, October 23rd at the Cary Tennis Center.   Sarah King of Raleigh Broughton (left) was the singles finalist.


Caroline Smith and Lauren Brooker won the Mideastern 3-A Regional doubles championship at the Burlington Tennis Center on Saturday, October 23rd.

Salisbury High School, ranked number one in the state in 2-A, qualified all six of its starters for the state tournament this weekend at the Midwestern Regional Tournament.   The Lady Hornets are pictured here with head coach Chris Myers.


Freshman Kate Power won the Eastern 2-A Regional singles championship on Saturday, October 23rd at Greene Central High School in Snow Hill.

Greene Central senior Lauren Carraway and sophomore Jessica Hatch won the 2010 Eastern 2-A Regional doubles championship on Saturday, October 23rd at the Greene Central High School Tennis Complex.    This was Carraway's fourth regional doubles championship.
