Asheville Tops North Buncombe in Battle of 3-A Powers

Asheville High School, coached by Jerry Porter, took over sole possession of first place in the Mountain Athletic Conference with a 6-3 victory over North Buncombe, coached by Ricky Webb on Wednesday, March 17th.   The contest pitted two of the state's top 3-A programs.  Tito Poplawski and Morris Porter clinched the win for the visitors with a 10-8 win at number one doubles.   North Buncombe got singles wins from Justin Min and Sam Rector.
