Millbrook Prevails 6-3 at Wilmington Hoggard

Defending 4-A state champion Raleigh Millbrook, coached by Chris Grimes, prevailed 6-3 at Wilmington Hoggard, ranked number six in the state and coached by Michael Bowen, on Friday, February 9th in the state's Port City.   Millbrook won four of the singles matches, but Hoggard captured number three doubles to cut the deficit to 4-3.   The state's top-ranked squad pulled out a tiebreak at number one doubles to clinch the victory.     Millbrook will face seventh-ranked Wilmington New Hanover on Saturday, April 10th at 9:00 a.m.   Hoggard dropped to 9-2 overall with the loss.
