Cardinals Nip Surry Central 5-4

East Wilkes nipped Surry Central 5-4 on Wednesday, March 31st in a Mountain Valley Conference men's tennis match.   Logan Hemric and Brewer Logan clinched the win for Coach Aaron Simmons' Cardinals at number three doubles.   Surry Central, coached by Mark Parsons, knotted the score at 3-3 after singles play, thanks to third set tiebreak wins by Nick Gillespie and Colby Chilton.   East Wilkes improved to 9-2 with the victory.
