Tennis Tidbits March 2021
*Cardinal Gibbons High School coach Andrew Tuttle will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 4-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Union Academy coach Will Cobb will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 1-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Clyde Keith Hinson, the assistant coach at West Stanly High School from 2003 through this past spring, passed away on Monday, November 9th. Hinson was the head coach of the West Stanly men's team in 2016 and won Rocky River Conference Coach of the Year honors. He was the father of River Birch Tennis Center in Greenville Director of Tennis Chris Hinson.
*East Wilkes High School coach Aaron Simmons will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 1-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Raleigh Charter School coach Ryan Griffin will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 1-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Holly Springs High School coach Brandon Rhodes will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 4-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Steven Fine is the new men's and women's tennis coach at Eastern Guilford High School. Fine previously coached at Eastern Wayne High School and Goldsboro High School.
*The NCHSTCA will release its annual men's tennis preseason polls on Sunday, March 14th.
*North Johnston High School coach David Anderson will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 2-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Hendersonville High School women's tennis coach Jessica Eblen is the 2020 winner of the Ron Lee High School Tennis Coach of the Year award fron the North Carolina Tennis Association.
*Chatham Central High School coach Heather Brooks will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 1-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Enka High School coach Todd Suarez will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 3-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Stuart Cramer High School men's tennis coach Andrew Bradley is not coaching this year due to football season overlapping men's tennis. Liza Sipe is serving as the head coach for men's tennis at the school, and Matthew Robertson is her assistant coach.
*A.C. Reynolds High School coach Alex Diez will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 3-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Erwin High School coach Lisa Laney will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 3-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Raleigh Enloe High School coach Steve Spivey will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 4-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Lisa Laney will be coaching the men's and women's tennis teams at Erwin High School this spring.

*Lincoln Charter School coach Scott Fowler will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 1-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Mark Holmes is the new women's tennis coach at Wilson Beddingfield High School.
*Former Clayton High School coach Kenneth Stivason will serve as one of the voters for the NCHSTCA 3-A men's tennis poll this spring.
*Senior Foster Evans is the top returnee for Clayton High School, coached by Daniel Manzer, in 2021. Evans has started on two 3-A dual team state championship squads and won a doubles title at the 3-A individual state championships.
*North Lenoir High School men's tennis coach Scott Alston is in his tenth season at his alma mater. He has posted a record of 77-44 in his first nine seasons.
*Mt. Pleasant High School, coached by Elizabeth Webb, won its fourth consecutive Rocky River Conference men's tennis championship this spring.
*Justin Vestal is starting his seventh season as the women's tennis coach at Forbush High School this month. Coach Vestal has posted an overall record of 47-54 at the school.
*Raleigh Charter School is looking for a men's tennis match on Monday, April 26th at Pullen Park in Raleigh. Interested coaches should contact Coach Ryan Griffin at ryangriffin@hotmail.com.

*Erica Durham is the new women's tennis coach at West Stokes High School.
*Tanna Tilley has resigned as the women's tennis coach at West Stokes High School.
*Alexis Jarman is starting her second season as the women's tennis coach at Riverside-Martin High School this spring.
*Nick Theuner resigned as the 1-A representative on the NCHSTCA Board of Directors in June due to his team moving up to 2-A with the new realignment.
*Joe Kennedy is the new women's tennis coach at Thomas Academy. Kennedy will also be serving as a volunteer coach at East Columbus High School.
